Dare Represented at SNA Summer Conference
Seven members of the School Nutrition Association of Dare joined approximately five‑hundred Child Nutrition employees from all over the state for the 2011 School Nutrition Association of North Carolina Annual State Conference in Greensboro held June 21 to 23. The local SNA chapter worked throughout the past school year to raise funds to participate in the networking and professional development opportunities provided by the conference. Their fundraising efforts included catering breakfast at a fishing tournament in Hatteras, assisting with the Flying Pirate Half Marathon post race breakfast, selling Bertie County peanuts and hosting a Treasure for Treasure yard sale.
