Shows Support for Contribution of School Bus Drivers
On February 16, Dare County Sheriff Doug Doughtie stopped in at Nags Head Elementary School to show support for Dare County Schools Transportation Director David Twiddy and NHES staff and students' efforts to recognize the contribution of the districts' school bus drivers. As part of the national and state "Love the Bus" initiative, school bus drivers were presented with everything from valentines cards to coffee and scones to poems and songs by Dare County elementary school students throughout the week of February 14.
