Dare County Schools

On her way to the May 22 Jeannette's Pier Groundbreaking in Nags Head, NC Governor Bev Perdue dropped in at Manteo High School.  She observed the school's student-mentored exam prep program "EOC Season" in progress and also took time to congratulate the school's high achieving Mathematics Department.   As she bade goodbye to (from left) Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sue F. Burgess, Board of Education Chair David Oaksmith and Board Vice-Chair Dr. Walter Holton, Perdue gave a thumbs up in approval for the instructional strategies in place and the consistent success of students and teachers at MHS.
