  • December NCRSP Meeting

The Dare County Chapter of the North Carolina Retired School Personnel met at the Black Pelican restaurant on December 7. The Black Pelican treated the 25 members who attended to its signature black sesame seed pita bread before the luncheon meeting. The RSP lunch gatherings consist of a brief business meeting, sometimes a talk/discussion/presentation and a raffle of donated items that supports the group's scholarship initiative that benefits graduating seniors with plans to major in education or a related field. The December raffle  - made possible by donations from Barefoot Bernie's Tropical Bar & Grille, Beach Road Grill, Plaza Azteca, Port 'O Call Restaurant, Western Sizzlin', and Bunny Samuels, Francene Kelly, Gary Rippel, Joan Pfifer, and Lynn Blackburn - reaped $160.
